Registered Manager – Supported Living

£40,000 – £45,000

We are looking for a Supported Accommodation Registered Manager who will oversee the daily operations, compliance, and strategic development of supported accommodation services for young people (typically aged 16–21). The role includes ensuring a safe, supportive environment where residents can develop the skills necessary for independent living. The manager will lead and supervise staff, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and build positive relationships with stakeholders.

In this role you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the supported accommodation services, ensuring they run efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop, implement, and review policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory bodies, including Ofsted (if applicable), safeguarding guidelines, and housing regulations.
  • Manage budgets and ensure financial sustainability of the service.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of support workers, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide regular supervision, appraisals, and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Develop individualized support plans to help young people build independence,
  • Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead, managing and escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts among residents, promoting a harmonious living environment.

For this great post you will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Monitor and evaluate service performance to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety
  • Liaise with external agencies, such as local authorities, social workers, and health professionals, to ensure coordinated care for residents.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and community organizations.
  • Lead the response to emergencies, such as safeguarding incidents, health crises, or facility issues.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Relevant safeguarding and child protection training.
  • Proven experience managing supported accommodation, residential care, or similar
  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with complex needs.
  • Strong track record of managing and leading teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, such as The Children’s Homes (England)
  • Full UK Driving licence
