Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

£14.09 per hour
I am looking for an experienced Care/Support Worker for a fabulous 45 bedded residential and dementia care home for the elderly just outside the beautiful town of Market Harborough. The home provides short-term and long-term residential care for the elderly and those living with dementia, as well as respite care, and is rated as ‘good’ by CQC.
In this role you will:
- Provide the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting residents in all aspects of daily living
- Be responsible for promoting resident’s independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect
- Be responsible for leading your shift to ensure high standards are maintained, and other members of the team feel supported
- Complete the daily medication rounds
- Ensure daily charts are completed to a high standard by all team members
- Promote good practice in all aspects of care
For this post you must have:
- Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Experience in a residential / nursing home setting at a supervisory level
- Experience of administering medication and updating care plans
- Excellent people skills and a caring and nurturing attitude
- The ability to work nights and alternate weekends (3 x nights week one, 4 x nights week two)
- Live within 30 minutes of the Home
